Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

HomesBrain, Inc. (“HomesBrain,” “we,” “us”) provides a home service-record platform used by home-service professionals (“Pros”) and homeowners. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. For Pros: business name, trade, service area, contact details, and logo. For homeowners: phone number and/or email used to claim a home record.
  • Home and service data. Property address, equipment details (make, model, serial, warranty), service history, photos of equipment, and scheduled service dates, entered by Pros in the course of doing work, or by homeowners on their own record.
  • Customer contact information. When a Pro logs a job, they provide their customer's name and contact details along with a record of the customer's consent to be contacted.
  • Usage data. Product events (for example, when a record is sent or viewed), which screens and buttons are used, how long steps take, device and browser information, and session replays of how you moved through the app. See Section 5.

2. How we use information

  • To create, deliver, and maintain home service records.
  • To send service records, reminders, and review requests on a Pro's behalf, where consent has been captured.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service, including fraud prevention and support.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

3. How we share information

  • Between Pros and homeowners. A Pro sees only the customers and jobs they created. A homeowner who claims a home sees the service history of that home, including which Pros performed the work.
  • Service providers. We use vendors to run the platform: hosting and database (Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), SMS/email delivery providers, and product analytics (PostHog). They process data only to provide their service to us.
  • Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe. HomesBrain never stores card numbers.
  • Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HomesBrain or others.

4. AI-assisted record writing

A Pro can let HomesBrain use AI to write a service record for them instead of typing it. This only happens if the Pro turns it on: it is off until they agree, and they can turn it off again at any time in Settings.

  • What is sent. What the Pro types about the job, any photo they take of a unit, and, when the Pro uses the microphone, the audio recording of their voice itself, not only the words written down from it. That content can include the homeowner's name, service address, phone number, and email, because those are the fields the record is made of.
  • Who receives it. Google's Gemini AI for text and photos, and OpenAI for voice recordings, both reached through Lovable, the platform HomesBrain runs on. While the Pro is speaking, the phone's own built-in speech recognition also processes the audio to show a live transcript.
  • Why. So HomesBrain can fill in the service record, translate it, or apply a correction the Pro dictates, instead of the Pro typing every field.
  • Minimization. We send only the fields an edit could plausibly involve. A correction to a date or a model number is sent without the homeowner's name, address, or email.
  • Third-party protections. HomesBrain's AI features run through Lovable's AI Gateway. Lovable acts as a data processor and states that transmissions through the Gateway are pass-through — it does not store the prompts, recordings, or responses — and that it does not use raw or identifiable personal data to train models. Lovable maintains SOC 2 Type II certification, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and states that its sub-processors, which include Google and OpenAI, are contractually bound to data protection obligations equivalent to those in its own agreements. Google and OpenAI process this data under their own privacy policies.

If you are a homeowner: your Pro may use AI to help write your service record. When they do, the job details they enter, which can include your name, address, phone number, and email, and any voice recording your Pro makes of the job, are processed by the providers named above for the sole purpose of producing your record. A recording made on site can capture voices nearby, including yours. Your Pro chooses whether to use it.

5. Product analytics and session replay

We record how people move through HomesBrain so we can find the places where it is slow, confusing, or broken. This covers only what happens inside the HomesBrain app. It does not use your phone's camera or microphone, and it does not follow you to other apps or websites.

  • What we collect. Which screens you open, which buttons you tap, how long steps take (for example, how long it takes a Pro to log a job), and technical details such as device type, operating system, app version, and the general city-level location derived from your IP address.
  • Session replays. We also keep a replay of your visit: a reconstruction of the HomesBrain screens you saw and how you moved through them, including taps, scrolls, and the pages you opened. It is rebuilt from the app's own screen layout rather than from a video or screenshot of your device, and it shows only HomesBrain.
  • What is hidden. Anything typed into a form field is hidden before the replay leaves your device, and hidden values are never transmitted to us. Customer and homeowner names, phone numbers, email addresses, and service addresses are hidden as well. Replays never capture microphone audio, camera input, photographs, passwords, or payment card details.
  • Who receives it. PostHog, a product analytics provider, on its United States cloud. PostHog processes this data only to provide its service to us, under a data processing agreement.
  • How we use it. Only to operate, debug, and improve HomesBrain. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles for any other purpose.
  • How long we keep it. Session replays are deleted automatically after 30 days. Product events are kept longer so we can measure trends over time.
  • Your choice. Email privacy@homesbrain.com and we will delete the analytics data and session replays associated with you.

6. Data retention

Home records are designed to be durable: service history stays with the home so long as the record exists. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, accounting, or security purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted with row-level security: Pros can access only their own business data, homeowners only their claimed home. See our plain-English security overview for more.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access, correct, or export your data. Home records are portable: you can export your home's history.
  • Delete your account and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, and of marketing email via the unsubscribe link.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under CCPA or GDPR). We honor verified requests.

9. Text messaging / SMS

HomesBrain operates two separate SMS programs, each with its own opt-in and its own purpose:

  • Service records & reminders. Sent on a Pro's behalf to homeowners who consented at signup or at the time of service. See our Messaging Terms.
  • Authentication (one-time passcodes). Sent to homeowners and Pros who request a login code by entering their phone number on the HomesBrain login screen. Codes are 6 digits, single-use, and expire in 10 minutes. See our SMS Authentication Terms.

Across both programs:

  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Text STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Text HELP for help, or email ilan@maverich.ai.
  • Phone numbers collected for authentication are used only to send login codes and verify sign-in; they are not used for marketing.
  • No mobile information - including your phone number - and no SMS or messaging consent will be shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

10. Children

HomesBrain is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
